19 Billion Passwords Leaked
I just read about the 19 billion passwords that were leaked recently, and honestly, it’s kind of terrifying. It’s being called the largest password dump in history, and what's worse is that most of the leaked credentials were either reused or ridiculously simple. Think “123456,” “qwerty,” or just people’s names. It’s 2025, and we’re still making these same mistakes?
What really shocked me is that only about 6% of the leaked passwords were unique. The rest were repeats—used across different sites or just plain weak. Some even included stuff like “Batman” or “superman,” which sounds funny until you realize how easy those are to guess. With that much data floating around, it feels like no account is truly safe unless you're using stronger security measures.
It made me double-check all my accounts and finally switch over to a password manager (should’ve done that way sooner). I also started using two-factor authentication wherever I can. Curious to hear what tools or habits you all are using to stay protected, especially after something this big.

Which console is the most secure? xbox, ps5, or Nintendo switch
Hi! just wondering, with all the hype around gaming consoles again, which one do you guys think is the most secure these days? like in terms of account protection, privacy, hacking, etc.
i’ve got Trend Micro on my phone and computers so i feel pretty covered there, but for consoles there’s nothing like that available afaik. so i’m kinda relying on whatever built-in security they have, which got me thinking—how good are they really?
i read xbox has that secure boot thing and ties into microsoft accounts with 2FA, ps5 has 2FA too and some decent built-in stuff, but sony had that huge psn hack back in the day so i’m still kinda paranoid. Switch seems more chill but also heard it's easier to jailbreak or mess with.
just wondering if anyone’s had issues or knows more about how secure these actually are. like do you just trust them as-is or do you tweak settings, use super long passwords, etc?

What is the first thing you do when you get hacked on Facebook?
I just found out that someone may have hacked my Facebook account. I was logged out unexpectedly, and now I can't log back in. Some of my friends said they received weird messages from me too. I'm starting to panic a little. What's the first thing I should do to try and recover my account? -
Just got my Google Pixel 9a, do I need extra security?
I just got the Google Pixel 9a, and I’m really liking it so far. It has theft protection and a built-in Google VPN which is nice, but I’m not sure if that’s enough. With all the scams and malware going around, I’m wondering if I still need extra security.
been using Trend Micro on my old phone, and it’s helped me avoid some sketchy links before. Should I keep using it on the Pixel 9a, or are the builtin protections enough? What do you guys think?
