We’ve just rolled out a new update for Trend Micro ScamCheck, and we’re excited to share what’s new. This release focuses on strengthening scam protection and making the app even easier to use across both Android and iOS devices.

New Features & Enhancements
Android
- Better Scam Link Protection: Scam link detection now works in popular messaging apps like LINE and Facebook Messenger, offering broader coverage.
- Custom Call Detection by Region: You can now set your region manually to improve the accuracy of scam call detection.
iOS
- Expanded URL Protection: We’ve introduced a VPN-based solution that enables URL checks across more apps, helping keep you safer online.
- Regional Call Detection Settings: Just like on Android, iOS users can now adjust their region to fine-tune call scam detection.
- Auto-Update for Call Patterns: Call detection rules now update automatically so you’re always protected against the latest threats.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
Android
- Users with expired licenses can no longer upload images using the default prompt.
- Onboarding text now displays correctly on all screen sizes.
- Activation keys will only appear for users with a valid CESSP license.
- Fixed an issue where the Risk Check feature showed incorrect phone call results.
- Error messages for failed redeem code attempts now clearly explain what went wrong.
iOS
- A missing Scam Check history item has been restored, so you can review past checks as expected.
