  • why am i suddently getting pop ups i thought your software blocked those

    Hi @barbaracook,

These pop-ups you are receiving are called Browser Notifications. It is a web browser feature that allows websites to send notifications to users regardless of which sites they have opened. They are really handy, but scammers have been exploiting the feature to promote unwanted ads and scam sites, and even send out malicious links containing malware.

To resolve the issue, you may refer to the steps below:
    1. Quit your browser
    2. Update your Trend Micro Antivirus
    3. Restart the computer
    4. Run a scan

If the issue still persists, here are some additional steps you can take to manually block and remove it:

    1. Open your browser
    2. Go to Settings then go to Cookies and Site Permissions
    3. Within the Site permissions menu, select Notifications
    4. Toggle the switch to disable it. This will block all browser notifications within your browser.
    5. You may also clear the browsing data

    Hope this helps.

  • cant get a response from trend micro antivirus cell phone app disabling phones

    Hi @georgedelaportilla

    Welcome to Trend Micro Community!

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to address the issues:

    1. Check for Updates: Make sure both your iPhone's operating system and the Trend Micro Antivirus app are updated to the latest versions.
We recently released a new update, it should be 11.2.1071 now. You may check the app store for this version.

    2. Restart Your Device: Try turning off your iPhone, waiting a few seconds, then turning it back on again to see if that helps.

    3. Reinstall Trend Micro Antivirus: Uninstall the Trend Micro Antivirus app from your iPhone and then reinstall it from the App Store. This can sometimes fix any corrupted files or settings causing the problem.

    Hope this helps.
