If there is a compatibility issue between Firefox and the TrendMicro toolbar, you can try disabling or removing the toolbar from your browser's settings. Here are the steps to do it:

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Click on the three-line menu icon at the top-right corner.
  3. Go to Add-ons.
  4. Find Trend Micro Toolbar in the list of extensions.
  5. Click on Disable or Remove to uninstall it.

Hi Ash.

Unfortunately this did not solve the problem and after a long and very helpful call with Support, it was decided that there had to be an issue with the main TM max security installation. 

Removing and reinstalling TM max security solved the problem.
