Does Trend Micro remove phishing scam injuries?  I clicked on an invitation to a party that was a scam--what should I do next (am currently running full scan).

Hi there!

Good move running a full scan.

If you only clicked the link, the risk is usually low. Still, here’s what to do next:
  • ✅ Let the Trend Micro scan finish and clean anything detected
  • ✅ Clear your browser cache/cookies
  • ✅ Check for unknown downloads or extensions
  • ✅ If you entered any info, change your passwords immediately and enable two-factor authentication
  • ✅ Monitor your accounts for unusual activity

IMPORTANT: Trend Micro can remove malware, but if personal info was entered, you’ll need to secure your accounts manually.
If you can share whether you downloaded anything or entered details, I can help assess your risk further.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out and for being vigilant! 🙌

What is an Email Scam? An email scam (also called phishing) is a fraudulent message designed to trick you into revealing personal information, clicking malicious links, or downloading harmful attachments. These emails often impersonate trusted brands or organizations to appear legitimate.

How to Report It: You can forward the suspicious email directly to our Fraud Busters team at: 📧 tmsupport@fraudbuster.trendmicro.com

⚠️ Reminder: As a precaution, please avoid interacting with the email — do not open any links, download any attachments, or respond to the sender.

Stay safe and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other concerns! 😊
