• Important Notice: Windows 10 End of Life - What It Means for Your Security

    Hi everyone,

    Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. If you're still using a PC with Windows 10, it's important to understand what this means and how it affects your device's security.


    What is Windows 10 End of Life?

    After October 14, 2025, Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or technical support from Microsoft. While your PC will continue to function, it will be more exposed to malware and other cyber threats.


    What Should You Do Next?

    • Upgrade to Windows 11 if your device meets the system requirements.
    • If your PC can't upgrade, consider purchasing a new device that supports Windows 11.
    • Need more time? Microsoft will offer an Extended Security Updates (ESU) program for Windows 10 users starting in 2025.

    Staying on an unsupported version of Windows increases your risk of being affected by unpatched vulnerabilities. For the best protection, upgrade to a supported version of Windows as soon as possible.

  • Important Notice: Install Error 1603, 3002, 0xe0220019 in Trend Micro Security for Windows

    Hey everyone,

    If you’ve run into installation error 1603, 30020xe0220019 while trying to install Trend Micro Security for Windows, here are some information that might help you.

     

    Why This Happens

    In many cases, these errors occur because the Windows version installed on your device is a Preview Build. Please note that Trend Micro only supports official, publicly released versions of Windows. If your build is not listed in our supported versions, there’s a high chance it’s a preview or insider build.

    You can check our supported Windows versions here: Windows 11 release information

    If your OS is indeed a preview build, we recommend installing an official release of Windows before attempting to reinstall Trend Micro.

     

    Other Possible Causes

    If you're using an official Windows build but still seeing these errors, it might be due to one of the following:

    • An important component required for the installation couldn’t be set up properly
    • You're using an outdated version of the installer

  • Important Notice: Unable to Receive Password Recovery

    Hey everyone,

    We’ve been made aware of an issue where some users are not receiving the password retrieval email after clicking “Retrieve your password by email” in Trend Micro Security for Windows.


    What’s Happening?

    This appears to be a temporary issue affecting the email delivery for password recovery. Our team is actively investigating.


    Temporary Workaround

    If you're locked out and need to access your program settings, you can reinstall Trend Micro Security to reset the password setup.

    You’ll need to uninstall the program using the Diagnostic Toolkit, then reinstall and create a new password during setup.

    Attention Trend Micro Community!

    New Update!

    We have successfully implemented a fix for the 2FA verification issue affecting your Trend Micro My Account. 
    This would let you use the SMS 2FA codes to access your account.

    Still having the same issue?

    You can refer to the same workaround below if you are still experiencing the same issues. 

    If you have configured multiple Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) methods for your account, you can use the 'Use another method' option if you haven't received the SMS authentication within 120 seconds. This allows you to regain access to your account.

    However, if you have only configured SMS authentication for your account, please follow the troubleshooting steps below.

    For users in the US using T-Mobile as their network provider:

    • It is advised to utilize alternative authentication methods like email verification, social sign-ins, or authenticator apps to improve security and enhance the user authentication process.

    For users with different network providers and users from AU/NZ:
