This stops Trend Micro's protection, leaving your computer vulnerable. To stay protected, ensure the program remains running. You can just close the Trend Micro main console, and the application will keep running in the background.

Sometimes, you might have to temporarily turn off your Antivirus One for certain reasons. This could be to make your computer faster, install new software, or resolve problems.To temporarily turn off the Antivirus One app, do the following:
- Locate the menu bar icon at the top of your screen.
- Right-click the icon to access the context menu.
- Among the options, click Quit to turn off the Antivirus One.
- Then try again.

Thanks for sharing this information. We'll look into it and provide an update as soon as possible.
For the meantime, kindly try to restart the components of the Trend Micro Application and check if the issue persists.
Here is the steps for restarting the components.- Press the Windows and R keys on your keyboard to open the Run window.
- In the Open field, type supporttool.exe, then click OK.
- Click Yes when the User Account Control Window appears.
The Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit will open. - Click the (C) Uninstall tab.
- Click 5. Stop all components.
- Wait for 10 seconds or the Trend Micro icon in the taskbar notification area to disappear.
- Open Trend Micro Maximum Security.
