    If you purchased the product from a store, the activation code is printed on your receipt. If you purchased it online, you will receive an email containing your invoice number and activation code details.

    If your password is not accepting, we need to uninstall your Trend Micro:
     

    please follow the steps below:

    1. Use the search bar near the Microsoft icon.
    2. Search for "Trend Micro Diagnostic Tool Kit."
    3. Open the tool and tap "C. Uninstall."
    4. Tap "Stop All Components."
    5. Tap "Uninstall Software."
    6. Wait to ask you restart your computer, then click "Restart now".

     

    To reinstall Trend Micro Maximum Security, follow these steps:

    1. Go to this link: Quick Help | Trend Micro Help Center
    2. Scroll down and tap "Download Maximum Security" to download the installer.
    3. Open the installer once it is downloaded.
    4. Tap "Accept and Continue," then enter the Activation Code.
    5. Wait for the installation process to complete.

    To add website on your exception list:

    1. Open your Trend Micro Maximum Security
    2. Click Settings
    3. Click "Exception Lists"
    4. Click "Add" to add your website on the list

    Please make sure that your Trend Micro Mobile Security app is updated to the latest version.

    If the issue happens only when Web Guard is on, try turning it off temporarily and check if the email works. If it does, reinstall Web Guard by turning it off and back on again in the app settings.

    Make sure that your Mac OS is macOS Ventura (13.0) or higher. Here's the system requirement for mac: Trend Micro Antivirus System Requirements for Mac | Trend Micro Help Center.

    For the Full Disk Access notification, please enable Trend Micro Antivirus, Trend Micro Antivirus Extension, and iCoreServiceLauncher under Full Disk Access settings.

    If the issue persists after updating, please run a full device scan and then restart your device. If the detection remains, kindly share the exact detection name or screenshot so we can provide further assistance.

    Some Android malware, such as “videos18+.apk,” may embed itself deeply into the system, requiring manual removal or a factory reset for complete cleanup. We’ll guide you through this if needed.

    Possible Causes

    • Network routing conflict — CarPlay relies on direct local network communication (especially over Wi-Fi or USB), which can be interrupted when VPN routing is active.
    • VPN protection scope — Trend Micro VPN may be redirecting all network traffic, preventing CarPlay from recognizing the iPhone’s local network interface.
    • iOS security behavior — Some iOS versions limit CarPlay connectivity when a system-wide VPN is active.


     

    Recommended Solutions

    Disable VPN when using CarPlay

    • Open the Trend Micro Mobile Security or Trend Micro VPN app.
    • Turn Web Guard / VPN OFF before connecting to your car.
    • Once CarPlay is connected and functioning, you may re-enable the VPN afterward if needed.
