I was in contact with Trend Micro phone support on 3rd October 2024, and the support person (Rusty), advised that Trend Micro Maximum Security is only compatible with Windows 10 versions 21H2, 22H2 or newer.

I am just wondering where I can verify this information online, as when I go to the main Trend Micro specifications, it states all versions of Windows 10.

I have an older Acer Aspire 3 laptop that for unknown reasons will not update to newer versions of Windows 10, so I am trying to find the exact versions of Windows 10 that are supported, so I can attempt to install the oldest supported OS updates. 

When installing Trend, it states that I need to install Windows updates before it will proceed, even though the system is fully up to date using Windows update.

You're encountering the "Installation Stopped, Update Microsoft Windows" error on Trend Micro Security because your computer does not meet all the installation requirements. Unfortunately, we don’t have a knowledge base article specifying the exact supported version of Windows 10. However, the information provided by our support team is accurate: only Windows 10 versions 21H2, 22H2, or later are supported.
